Job Summary
The City is seeking a Senior Graphic Design Specialist to join our Creative Services team within our dynamic Communications & Public Involvement Office (CPIO). CPIO is charged with developing marketing and communications across all City departments and bringing awareness to programs and services both internally and community wide. The Senior Graphic Design Specialist will deliver the production and technical creation of visual designs and materials using a variety of mediums to promote and support City initiatives that require communication to both internal and external audiences while supporting and shaping the City brand standards. This role contributes to the overall visual strategy while influencing and shaping marketing and process decisions and providing input on production of designs that include print, digital and specialty services as needed.
A successful Senior Graphic Design Specialist candidate will have an exceptional talent for design thinking, strategic thinking, brand development, building internal and external relationships, and supporting complex marketing and communication needs at a high volume and fast pace. The position requires adaptability and project management skills, along with exceptional design skills using current industry standards and software to support the many projects and services communicated by the City. This position does offer the opportunity to perform work remotely at times, but there is an expectation to be in person each week to align and learn from the larger team to help us achieve best outcomes. Creative Services, as well as the larger CPIO team, values collaboration, communication, and strategic planning to foster a creative and shared culture in support of the City's overall brand and communications.

College degree or equivalent work experience. Some positions may require functionally related certification or advanced degrees
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field; related work experience is considered equivalent to education.
