ANNUAL ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $100,000.00 - 124,000.00(Salaries are paid biweekly)

Job Summary

The City of Fort Collins Lincoln Center is a premier performing arts and cultural venue in northern Colorado, offering a diverse lineup of live theater, music, dance, and visual arts. As a cornerstone of the community's creative scene, it features multiple performance spaces, art galleries, and event facilities, hosting local, national, and international talent. The Sr. Manager, Cultural Services, also known as the Lincoln Center General Manager, ensures seamless operations, high-quality experiences, and meaningful engagement with the arts community. This dynamic role blends strategic leadership, financial oversight, and relationship-building to enhance the Lincoln Center's impact on the community.

In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service for audiences, event producers, and rental clients. You will cultivate partnerships with local arts organizations, producers, and community stakeholders to bring diverse and engaging performances to the venue. Your financial acumen will be essential as you develop and manage budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure fiscal responsibility. Data-driven decision-making will be central to your success, as you analyze performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to continuously enhance operations and programming.

5-7 years of experience in arts and/or venue management are required for this role. Additionally, the Lincoln Center General Manager must be highly adaptable, working a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to align with the demands of the arts and entertainment industry. This position will work fully in-person for the first 2-4 weeks of onboarding and training and will evolve into a hybrid workplace arrangement to provide for some schedule flexibility. Relocation assistance is available to candidates who do not currently live a commutable distance from Fort Collins, CO.

As a leader, you will guide and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Your role will extend beyond daily operations, assisting the Cultural Services Director in shaping long-term strategies and policies that support the growth of the Lincoln Center and the City's broader cultural initiatives. In light of potential changes to the Cultural Services Department, the Director is seeking a General Manager who can be a trusted thought partner, contributing to the department's strategic direction, recommending improvements, and adapting to evolving priorities within both the organization and the City.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Oversees day-to-day operations at the assigned venue, ensuring high-quality customer service for audiences, event producers and promoters.
  • Manages, leads and mentors assigned staff.
  • Builds relationships with local arts organizations, producers, and rental clients, and collaborates on booking performances.
  • Develops and monitors the venue's budget, focusing on revenue, expenses, and cost control.
  • Administers contracts for rentals, performances, and subcontractors, including technical, ticketing, and hospitality services.
  • Analyzes performance reports, market data, and customer feedback, providing insights and recommendations to improve services and operations.
  • Assists the Cultural Services Director in formulating and administering City and service unit policies and developing long range goals and objectives for Lincoln Center and Cultural Services.
  • Works a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings as needed.

MinimumPreferred

Required Qualifications

College degree or equivalent work experience. Some positions may require functionally related certification or advanced degrees Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Performing Arts management, Marketing, or related field from an accredited college or university

Experience Requirements

  • Five to seven years related experience in a venue or performing arts management level position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
