Typical QualificationsRequired Qualifications : Master's Degree in Library Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program (or the ability to obtain within six months of hire).At least one year of supervisory experience.Strong knowledge of library principles, reader's advisory, and information services.Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills.Preferred Qualifications : One or more years of experience working with youth.Demonstrated ability to plan and execute programs for children and teens.Experience in a library or public sector environment.Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.Physical & Technical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, move book carts, and operate standard library equipment.Valid Iowa Driver's License (or ability to obtain before employment).
