Starting pay range for position: $20.00 - $21.50
Under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Maintenance Worker performs grounds and facilities-related maintenance duties at the Coyote Creek Golf Course.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Performs a variety of duties in helping maintain golf greens, tees, fairways and roughs
- Operates push and riding lawn mowers
- Operates string trimmers
- Operates backpack blowers
- Utilizes a variety of tools such as rakes and shovels
- Cleans and maintains equipment and facilities
- May paint facilities
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience with tools, machines and equipment used in the maintenance of a golf course preferred.
- Previous golf or landscape experience preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Class R Driver’s License with good driving history at the time of application.
- Must be able to obtain CPR certification within first 6 months of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may work in elevated areas. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including bright sunlight, heat, light rainfall, wind and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Must be able to express ideas clearly and concisely. Must be able to communicate problems with supervisor.
