City of Ft. Smith, AR , seeks a Planner 1 in Ft. Smith, AR who will be responsible for a wide range of city planning related duties, including preparing reports, maps, photograph, reviewing and signing permit applications, reviewing business registration applications for code compliance, reviewing building permit applications for compliance to the Unified Development Ordinance and other city ordinances, preparing maps and graphics, Conduct subdivision administration and coordinate all subdivision reviews with city departments and franchise utilities, which include representing the Planning Department at all utility meetings for subdivision plats. and other duties as assigned.
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Regional and City Planning or Related Field, as well as 24 months of experience in positions involving Urban and regional planning, architecture, or teaching and research positions related to urban and regional planning or architecture.
