What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatic Center Lifeguard position at CITY OF FRANKFORT KY?
Under the Aquatic Center Supervisor’s direction, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring safety in the pool area at the Aquatics Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures safety in the pool area at all times.
- Monitors individuals using aquatic facilities to include operation and safety of equipment.
- Reports any unusual activities or unsafe conditions to the Lifeguard Supervisor.
- Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

If you do not have a current Lifeguard certification, you will be required to obtain one prior to the first day of employment. After successfully passing the certification course and completing the aquatic center work season, the cost of the certification expense is reimbursable.
