Position Summary: Join the Fredericksburg Regional Transit team as a Marketing Intern. Support our marketing and communication initiatives while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in implementing communication strategies, programs, plans, and campaigns
- Help create department materials and literature, including an employee newsletter
- Support the execution of Fredericksburg Regional Transit’s Marketing Plan
- Manage customer signage inventory, including design and placement at stops and on buses
- Assist in content and layout management of transit web pages
- Implement social media strategies and develop content for platforms like Facebook and Twitter
- Collaborate on public timetables and schedules; distribute printed materials and update displays in the community
- Aid department staff with daily operations and projects, including service promotions and electronic media
- Create publication materials such as brochures, fact sheets, and other necessary documents
- Support content management of the transit intranet page in line with internal branding and messaging
- Handle day-to-day customer communications, including alert postings
- Maintain a personal calendar of projects, events, and activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Current enrollment in a college or university with a focus on marketing, communications, or related fields
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to perform all essential job functions unaided or with reasonable accommodation as needed
