CREW MEMBER II – UTILITIES
Starting Salary : $35,289
Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Utility Department Crew Member to join our team. Under direct supervision, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled labor tasks that require physical strength and stamina. This role involves operating various trucks and heavy equipment to support our utility operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate utility trucks, roll-off trucks, water trucks, and dump trucks for snow and leaf removal.
Sand icy or oily streets to ensure safety.
Operate a forklift as needed.
Assist with water and sewer crew repairs, new installations, and site clean-up.
Participate in site restoration activities.
Complete work orders and daily report paperwork accurately.
Qualifications :
Ability to perform a full range of assigned duties with minimal supervision.
Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Effective communication skills with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers.
Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver’s License or obtain one within 6 months of employment.
Successful completion of criminal background and driving record checks.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and work in varying weather conditions.
