Paralegal

Position Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Paralegal, where you will support the probation violations dockets and engage in various paralegal projects. This role reports directly to the Office Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and clerical support, including preparing legal documents and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and obtain court records and criminal history reports.
• Coordinate court filings and manage telephone communications.
• Type complex reports, memos, and correspondence.
• Update court case schedules and prepare files for attorneys.
• Assist attorneys with special projects for complex cases.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Paralegal certification (RP or CP) is preferred.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an administrative role within a law office is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with case management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a criminal background check and driving record check.
