Transit Marketing Intern Starting Pay : $13.00 / hour Position Summary : Join the Fredericksburg Regional Transit team as a Marketing Intern. Support our marketing and communication initiatives while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic environment. Essential Job Functions : Assist in implementing communication strategies, programs, plans, and campaigns. Help create department materials and literature, including an employee newsletter. Support the execution of Fredericksburg Regional Transit’s Marketing Plan. Manage customer signage inventory, including design and placement at stops and on buses. Assist in content and layout management of transit web pages. Implement social media strategies and develop content for platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Collaborate on public timetables and schedules; distribute printed materials and update displays in the community. Aid department staff with daily operations and projects, including service promotions and electronic media. Create publication materials such as brochures, fact sheets, and other necessary documents. Support content management of the transit intranet page in line with internal branding and messaging. Handle day-to-day customer communications, including alert postings. Maintain a personal calendar of projects, events, and activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements : Current enrollment in a college or university with a focus on marketing, communications, or related fields. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. General Aptitudes and Physical Demands : Ability to perform all essential job functions unaided or with reasonable accommodation as needed.
