Transit Security Officer - Part-Time
Starting Hourly Pay : $21.65
Position Overview :
The City of Fredericksburg is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Transit Security Officer on a part time basis. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of Transit properties, personnel, customers, and the general public.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform general security and safety duties at all transit facilities and amenities.
- Patrol grounds and buildings to monitor for security and safety issues.
- Take appropriate action to address security incidents and customer-related issues.
- Monitor alarm, camera, and security systems at FRED facilities.
- Ride transit buses across a four-jurisdiction area to maintain a visible security presence.
- Write clear and descriptive reports on incidents and activities.
- Collaborate and interact with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
