Parks and Recreations Administrative Assistant
Non-Exempt

General description of duties
Performs clerical and administrative duties in the Parks Department. Supervised by Parks Director.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Answer phones
- Filing and storage maintenance
- Coordinate work orders and receipts
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documentation as needed
- Plan and coordinate facility reservations
- Monitor and maintain office supplies
- Attend City Council meeting as needed
- Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- One year office experience using computer programs such as Excel and Word
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and basic ability in utilizing office equipment such as computer, phone system, fax machine, printer, etc.
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prepare and maintain various records and documents
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Work in inclement weather
- Works in noisy conditions and with fumes
- Moderate lifting, carrying, and pushing (up to 44 pounds)
- Use of fingers and both hands
- Good vision and depth perception required
- Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of colors
- Good hearing required
- Ability to periodically walk, stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, and balance required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
