    The City of Fullerton's Housing Division is responsible for executing the City's Housing Strategy and Implementation Plan through federal entitlement programs, including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME). The division is dedicated to promoting affordable housing and community development initiatives, administering rental assistance and home improvement programs, providing homeless outreach and services, and cultivating partnerships with community stakeholders.

    Current vacancy is in Community and Economic Development, Housing Division, but list will be used to fill future vacancies in other departments which may occur during the life of the eligibility list.

    Employment Guidelines

    Education / Training / Experience : Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be :

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration or a closely related field.
  • Administrative Analyst I - None
  • Administrative Analyst II - Two years of experience at the Administrative Analyst I level or equivalent in a public sector setting.
  • Special Requirements Include :

  • A valid Class C California Driver's License, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel is required. Employees who are driving on City business will be enrolled in the Department of Motor Vehicles Government Employer Pull Notice Program.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate City needs.
  • Per California Government Code §3100 - 3109, all public employees are to be declared disaster service workers and must take and subscribe to the oath of affirmation as required.

    NOTE :

    Candidates who successfully complete the assessment process for Administrative Analyst I / II will be placed on an eligible list for the respective classification, which will remain in effect for at least one year or until an insufficient number of candidates remain on the list.

    Current City of Fullerton employees may be given preference during the testing and / or selection process.

    All employment offers, including appointment offers to City of Fullerton employees, are conditional based upon the successful completion of a medical examination performed by the City's designated physician, at City expense. Medical exams are administered to assess an individual's ability to perform the physical requirements of this position. In addition, City of Fullerton employees appointed to safety sensitive classifications and all new hires will undergo a drug screen.

    All new hires will be fingerprinted. Fingerprints are verified with the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

    All new hires, including non-regular City of Fullerton employees appointed to this position, will serve a six-month probationary period. Regular City of Fullerton employees promoted to this position will serve a one-year probationary period.
