- Provides contract administration and supervision for the capital improvement and maintenance programs with a focus on the city's owned and operated utility systems (water, sewer, and stormwater) on assigned projects to ensure conformity to the plans and specifications.
- Manages, oversees, and coordinates the storm, sanitary, and domestic water Capital Improvement Plan implementation throughout the project life cycle.
- As assigned may manage and oversees planning, budgeting, design, bidding, construction, inspection, problem resolution with contractors, project close out, GIS integrations, and the completion/execution of infrastructure records and inventory including maintaining as-built drawings and various records of infrastructure improvements.
- Manages consultants performing construction administration and inspection of capital utility improvements.
- Provides information to residents on assigned projects.
- Skillfully navigate the wide array of tasks and responsibilities required to successfully deliver projects while providing the highest level of customer service.
- May prepare RFQs/RFPs and manage the design, bidding, construction, inspection, budgeting, and quality control measures for the City's annual sanitary sewer Cleaning, Televising, and lining maintenance programs.
- Assists with updates to the City's mandated regulatory compliance reporting to the EPA (water, sewer, and stormwater).
- Prepares complex, routine, and non-routine reports; receives, sorts, and summarizes material for the preparation of reports; prepares work reports.
- Maintains a professional working relationship with field staff and contractors responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's utility systems.
- Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required.
