What are the responsibilities and job description for the P/T Administrative Aide position at City of Gainesville, GA?
Performs a variety of highly responsible and complex administrative and secretarial tasks. Requires advanced skills in all assigned office responsibilities and the exercise of sound judgment in application of departmental procedures and methods in receiving and responding to routine inquiries and requests concerning departmental services.
Position is part-time up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Performs various administrative support work such as researching and analyzing information and coordinating tasks; prepares accounting and statistical tables and reports as needed.
Prepares, composes, types, distributes and files letters, forms, reports, contracts, general correspondence and other documents related to the administrative duties.
Answers telephone and gives specific and general information in response to public inquiries; handles requests for service, complaints and other public contact work.
Performs various tasks as specifically related to the Administration area and Facility Services. May serve as Front Desk back-up to Senior Customer Service Representative during lunch breaks, vacations, meetings, and etc. Performs other related work as needed.
Operates various modern office machines necessary to perform secretarial functions to include personal computers.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Licenses and Certifications:
None
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
At least two years administrative experience.
Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish).
Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the minimum level of qualifications stated above.
