The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and troubleshooting of our enterprise-level network. This position plays a key role in optimizing network performance, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards, and leading network-related projects to meet the needs of the organization. The Senior Network Administrator will work closely with other IT teams to ensure the network runs efficiently and supports business continuity.

Network Design & Architecture:

Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance network architectures to support both business operations and growth.

Develop and maintain network documentation, including topologies, configurations, and system designs.

Network Operations & Management:

Oversee the daily operation of network systems, including LAN/WAN, routing, and switching.

Monitoring of network performance, taking proactive measures to minimize downtime or performance issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and performance degradation in a timely manner.

Security & Compliance:

Collaborate with the security team to ensure the network infrastructure is secure and meets organizational compliance standards.

Implement and maintain network security policies, network configurations, and network diagrams for business operations.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:

Mentor the network administrator and others, providing guidance and support in problem-solving and best practices.

Lead or participate in cross-functional projects, ensuring network considerations are addressed effectively.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with other departments to ensure network infrastructure supports business requirements, including network speeds, routing, and network redundancy.

Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to manage external network services and solutions.

Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

Continuously evaluate the network’s performance and identify areas for improvement.

Implement network upgrades, patches, and optimizations to maintain high availability and efficiency.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:

Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery plans to ensure network continuity in case of failure.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

5 years of experience in network or a related field, with a focus on designing, managing, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise networks.

Proven experience with advanced networking protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS) and technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, VoIP, VPN, QoS).

Extensive experience with network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network access control.


Licenses and Certifications:

Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network , or similar are required.

Valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License and satisfactory motor vehicle record.


Preferred Skills and Key Competencies:

 

Strong knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for network configuration and management.

Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., LogicMonitor, Zabbix, and SolarWinds).

Experience with network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN).

Knowledge of emerging technologies like 5G, SD-WAN, and IoT.

Strong Understanding of Telephony Systems (Mitel, 3CX, and FreePBX)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across various teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

A proactive approach to learning new technologies and staying current in the networking field.

Salary : $80,000
