General Definition of Work
As a Part-Time Event Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight and execution of various events, ensuring their success from start to finish. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Essential Functions
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of events, including theater operations, hospitality, contractor coordination, and volunteer management
- Coordinates equipment and personnel service distribution and other functions and duties as required by the event
- Serves as lead on-site contact with business operations and marketing managers for the move in of event to the facility, the actual event and move out of the event
- Coordinate event timelines and schedules to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee event setup, including unlocking theater, setting up concessions, arranging seating, decor, and equipment
- Provide on-site support during events, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event and identify areas for improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of event marketing strategies and techniques
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices, including hotel and catering services
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED and experience in event management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms and repetitive motions and occasionally requires lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, using measuring devices, operating machines and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
