GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
The City of Galesburg is soliciting applications from candidates interested in a Project Manager position in the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works. Depending on qualifications and experience, the successful candidate will receive an annual salary between $71,127.57 and $90,000.00, in addition to the full range of City benefits. DUTIES OF THE POSITION
This exempt, full-time position is responsible for: designing and developing construction plans and specifications for street projects; monitoring and inspecting the work of contractors on city street and bridge construction projects; preparing project time and cost estimates and reports; and making related engineering computations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred; an associate’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field plus a minimum of 5 years of directly related work experience will be considered. Candidate should be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
