Master Reserve Officers provide the Garden Grove Police Department with qualified expert assistance in various areas of the department.
Master Reserve Officers perform a variety of duties, which may include but are not limited to: personnel administrative support, communications, scientific support services, administrative investigations, and patrol support.
Assignments and duties will be distributed according to the needs of the department and candidate's abilities, experience, and expertise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must be a service retired Police Officer from a California law enforcement agency who separated from their agency in good standing. Possession of a valid POST certificate is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The ability to speak, read, and/or write Spanish, Vietnamese, or Korean is highly desirable.

Candidates considered for appointment to a position in the Police Department are subject to a comprehensive background investigation, a pre-placement medical exam (which includes a drug and alcohol screening test), and will be required to take a Computer Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA) examination.
