Position: Administrative Assistant
Department: Chief’s Office
Reports To: Commander of Supportive Services
Qualifications:
*Responsible for the daily process of purchase orders/accounts payable vouchers following the City’s process
*Organizes purchasing procedures including accounting methods for account payable and obligation of funds for goods to be purchased
* Responsible for a high level of tact in dealing with vendors, Department heads, Police officers, co-workers, and the public
*Perform data entry in a tracking system to maintain information regarding bills and accounts with vendors
* Responsible for obtaining correct signatory authority on all fiscal paperwork
*Responsible for submitting paperwork for all budget transfers and line items to ensure appropriations are available
* Responsible for making relatively complex mathematical computations rapidly and accurately
* Perform additional duties as required
