Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sewer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of sewer systems, ensuring the effective treatment of wastewater and the proper functioning of all related equipment. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on sewer systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Operate heavy equipment such as tankers for transporting wastewater.
- Conduct repairs on sewer lines and related infrastructure, utilizing mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Work with distributed control systems to monitor and control wastewater treatment processes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to flow rates, chemical dosages, and other operational metrics.
- Assist in water treatment processes as needed, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Skills
- Proficient in plumbing techniques and practices relevant to sewer systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with distributed control systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for performing necessary calculations in daily tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environmental conditions.
Qualifications
