Police Officer

• Regularly patrol assigned areas within the city to deter criminal activity, enforce traffic laws, and respond to calls for service.
• Maintain visibility within the community to foster a positive relationship between law enforcement and residents.
• Enforce city ordinances, state statutes, and federal laws.
• Issue citations, make arrests, and conduct searches as necessary, in accordance with legal protocols.
• Investigate criminal incidents, including accidents, thefts, assaults, and other offenses.
• Gather evidence, take statements from witnesses, and complete reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies when required.
• Respond to emergency situations, including accidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and natural disasters.
• Provide first aid, assist fire and medical personnel, and manage crowd control during emergencies.
• Develop positive relationships with the citizens of Glenville through proactive communication and involvement in community events.
• Work with local schools, community centers, and other organizations to provide safety education and promote crime prevention.
• Prepare detailed reports on investigations, arrests, and incidents.
• Ensure proper documentation of all actions taken during the shift.
• Participate in ongoing training, including defensive tactics, law updates, and special investigative techniques.
• Maintain required certifications and stay updated on law enforcement procedures and technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
