Provides support to Head Chef and Lead Cook with daily operations within the Three One Six Bar and Grill/Catering, while working in a team orientated positive environment. Three One Six cooks have a variety of kitchen experience, including basic food prep, cooking procedures, operations of cooking equipment, and cleaning of facilities. Cooks will work in a fast-paced environment, work well as a team, and show quality cooking abilities by maintaining the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards.
Expected Hours of Work
This job operates in a restaurant/grill and bar environment. Hours are full-time. Hours include, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare food and cook for the restaurant and catered events consistently and promptly
- Prepping and portioning out food
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and follow all health and sanitation procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years of age.
- High-School diploma or GED.
- Restaurant industry and culinary experience.
- Hennepin County Food Manager Certificate or must be able to obtain by completion of probationary period.
- Valid Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one.
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with food and beverage services, including health codes, practices, procedures, and equipment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is conducted in a kitchen environment. Employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. This position is frequently exposed to temperature extremes and dampness. There are possible equipment movement hazards from equipment, electrical shock, and exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents. This is a fast paced work environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others. Staff will operate all kitchen equipment, including Fryers, ovens, stoves, grills, toasters, can opener, chargrill, slicer, refrigerated food prep case, hot case, cold case, thermometers, knives, dishwasher, ice machine, coffee maker, scales, soda machine, computer, copier, and telephone. Will occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
