Summary of Position
Position Overview
This position is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for children ages 3-14. This role involves being a positive role model while planning, leading, and participating in a variety of activities, including games, crafts, sports, bike instruction, puppeteering, camps, and special events. The position offers flexibility in job assignments, which will be based on individual interests, skills, and availability, with the goal of fostering a fun and supportive atmosphere for kids in different recreational programs.
Expected Hours of Work
Typical work hours are Monday-Thursday from 9am to 4:30pm. Addition hours may include some Fridays, evenings, and Saturday mornings.

- Assists in the implementation of various activities at assigned programs.
- Provides support as needed for all participants to create an inclusive and equitable environment.
- Follows and ensures that all participants follow the established staff policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in staff training while providing input on programs, events, and services.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have employee supervisory responsibilities. However, staff will oversee programs, participants, and facility users to ensure safety, and enforcement of rules/regulations.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 15 years of age or older.
- Ability to instruct and relate with children successfully.
- Available to work June to mid-August without requests for extended time off.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
