- Teaches indoor cycling/spinning classes to a variety of age groups. Coordinates and prepares music and choreography of class routines as necessary.
- Exercises safety awareness and practices.
- Provides a positive, fun, and safe experience to class participants.
- Provides set-up and tear down of class equipment when applicable.
- Follows and enforces all department policies, rules, and regulations while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.
- Handles and reports to the Recreation Supervisor – Wellness and General Programs any problems, concerns, or emergencies that arise during their classes.
- Assists Recreation Supervisor with evaluation of the program by providing feedback and recommendations for class/program improvement.
- Responsible for securing a substitute when unable to work assigned class.
Other duties may be assigned.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current CPR certification.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment during stressful situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to work well with people of all ages and abilities.
MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
Mats, indoor bicycles, free weights, xertubes, tape player, CD player, headset, and microphone system.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
