About the Position:

The City of Grand Junction is seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition and Engagement Specialist to develop and implement innovative recruiting and sourcing strategies to attract and engage talent that aligns with the organization’s needs. This role will involve building strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand position requirements and collaborate on tailored recruiting strategies. The specialist will manage and expand the department’s recruitment-focused social media accounts, enhancing branding and storytelling efforts. Additionally, the position will require conducting research and analyzing hiring and employee satisfaction data to assess the effectiveness of recruiting and retention initiatives. Duties

What You'll Do:
  • Define, implement, and execute creative recruiting and sourcing strategies to attract and engage talent.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with hiring managers to understand position needs and collaborate on recruitment strategies; coordinate and post job opportunities.
  • Manage and grow the City’s recruitment platforms and social media accounts.
  • Research, analyze, and report hiring statistics to evaluate recruitment, retention, and advertising efforts.
  • Monitor, interact, and respond to applicants to cultivate engagement and enhance brand awareness, facilitating positive recruitment experience.
  • Partner with educational institutions, workforce centers, and industry contacts; plan and develop outreach programs.
  • Develop, implement, and facilitate employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Prepare, monitor, and track assigned budgets.
  • Participate and contribute to various committees.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in recruiting, communications, public relations, human resources, social media management, or marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, public relations, human resources, or a related field.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
