What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Technician Maintenance Worker (Seasonal) position at City of Grand Junction?
Under direct supervision of a Crew Leader, lay out, stripe, paint, and maintain road lane lines, centerlines, crosswalks, turn arrows, stop bars, parking stalls, and other pavement markings. Assist with the removal, installation, and maintenance of traffic control devices; maintain accurate and up-to-date paper and computer records related to a particular area of assignment.
- Tail trucking for striping operations
- Tabbing and street layout
- Sign fabrication and installation
- Install pavement markings
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination.
- Possession or the ability to obtain, a valid Colorado Driver's License.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
