This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent.This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion.• Performs administrative duties to support the department’s operations including but not limited to: maintain inventory, purchase office supplies and equipment; research, monitor and provide reporting on budget and expenditures; research, compile and distribute various reports or documents as needed; manage administrative functions for departmental projects, programs and/or events; modify or recommend updates to departmental processes, procedures and/or policy.• Serves as a departmental liaison and front-line resource to the director typically addressing internal and external customers calls, concerns, and resolution of complaints as appropriate; typically involves supervision of 1 or more employees on a full time or part time basis; project and program management may involve work with vendors and outside agencies routinely.• Dependent upon the department to which this position is assigned: Completes departmental specific functions by maintaining capital improvement project fiscal records; preparing, compiling and distributing departmental specific reports and documents; assisting in the preparation of court dockets; department specific forms, badges, access control, personnel records; processing forms, applications and payments; maintaining confidential records and filing system, processing permits or inspections as applicable, employee or applicant forms, documents, materials, uniforms, or any other tracking and management of internal controls requested and needed by the department director for departmental organization. May also be responsible for payroll processing including ensuring compliance with FLSA time keeping regulations, timesheets and records destruction.• Supervises personnel by scheduling work assignments; conducting performance evaluations, making performance improvement and disciplinary recommendations, and making direct and significant recommendations to the Department Manager regarding hiring and firing decisions.• All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
