Essential Job Functions

This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 20 pounds on occasion.
- Maintains grounds by using tractors, field mowers, and various small lawn equipment.
- Provide turf and horticultural maintenance in parks and other city facilities.
- Inspect parks and other city facilities to ensure safe conditions, report vandalism, and repair damages.
- Operate various type of equipment such as tractors, loaders, backhoes, forklifts, field mowers, paint sprayers, etc.
- Remove debris from park grounds, clean parking lots and sidewalks, and remove graffiti from parks and facilities.
- Assist with special event set-up and tear-down.
- Performs preventative maintenance by inspecting and performing required maintenance and repairs of all equipment used.
- All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1 year of related experience.
- Licenses: Valid Class C Texas Driver's License required.
