What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Systems Integrator/Developer - TEMP position at City of Grand Prairie?
We're seeking an exceptional individual to join our team and assist in administrating and maintaining our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application systems.
Experience supporting Lawson (Infor) ERP systems is preferred.
As an IT Systems Integrator/Developer, you will be under the direction of the IT Manager-Applications. This position manages and maintains business-specific applications, including testing, scheduling, deployment, and support of application patches and upgrades.
Please note this is a TEMPORARY position:
- Project Duration: The position is funded only through the project’s completion date of September 30, 2026.
- End of Project Employment: After the project concludes, employment with the city will cease unless the individual applies for and is selected for a different, funded, and budgeted city position.
- No Guaranteed Transition: No specific position will be created for project employees to continue their employment after the project ends.
- Review business process needs and application functionality to identify features that could improve user experience or process efficiencies.
- Works with business stakeholders and users to identify new application requirements and source applications to meet them.
- Works with businesses to identify reporting requirements and integrate them. Provides vendor management and support escalations and follows through on problem resolution.
- Assumes the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a set of 3rd party applications supporting the entire lifecycle of the applications.
- Collects requirements and performs analysis on 3rd party solutions for internal business.
- Analyze the current applications to identify features that provide opportunities for improvements.
- Maintains applications based on vendor direction and business needs (patch application, major upgrades including staging, pre-testing, and deployment)
- Works as a liaison with 3rd party application support teams for issue creation, management, escalation, and completion.
- Provides customer support.
- Participates in the evaluation and selection process for application packages.
- Tracks and manages reviewing end-user, security, performance, and interoperability requirements.
- Creates statistical and informational reports for business purposes.
- All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline, or the equivalent in experience.
- Experience: Over five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in application support.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Skill in ITIL, ITSM, Application Lifecycle Management, C#, IIS, MS SQL Server, and application testing.
- Prefer experience supporting Lawson (Infor) ERP system.
- Licenses: A valid Driver's License is required.
- Certifications Required: None.
- Background: Must pass a drug test and background check. CJIS background check and certification are required for this position.
