Public Safety Officer - Part Time

JOB
The purpose of this position is to provide line-level support to the various divisions of the Police Department, including assisting at accident scenes, transporting property, assisting with non-emergency calls for service, and taking related offense and informational reports.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Respond to non-emergency calls for service, including graffiti, lost/found property, minor accidents, burglary, and city ordinance violations.Transport abandoned property from the field to the designated Police facility. Complete related chain of custody records and reports.Assist field personnel with traffic control and direction at accident scenes and special events.Transport items and equipment, as needed, to improve efficiency of field-level operations throughout the departmentPerform various vehicle inventory and repair functions, such as stocking vehicles with safety supplies and jump starting vehicles, to ensure they are ready for service.
