This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week position involving various tasks related to the physical flow and upkeep of library materials.Examples of work: Sorts, routes, checks-in, and shelves library materials accurately and efficiently.Reviews shelved library materials to ensure accuracy of placement.Maintains order and attractiveness of library collections through balancing, edging, and shifting materials.Clears areas such as carts, baskets, and tables of library materials.Performs other tasks of a similar nature as assignedWe currently have the following position available: Yankee Clipper BranchMonday - Tuesday: 4 pm - 8 pmWednesday, Thursday, Saturday: 2 pm - 6 pmThis position will be regularly scheduled at the listed branch. However, this position will also be required to periodically work shifts at other branches as needed.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position requires no previous training or special knowledge of library routines, but applicants must be able to work the posted schedule.Must be at least 14 years of age and able to obtain a work permit.Completion of the tenth grade or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
