Responsible for providing customer service, performing cashier duties as well as general cleaning and maintenance.at Scheels Aim High Big Sky Aquatic and Recreation Center. Work is performed under the general direction of the Recreation Facility and Fitness Coordinator and Recreation Manager.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Greets members and guests while monitoring the front desk and lobby during operating hours. Handles admissions and counter concession salesEnforces policy rules and regulations.Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer problems and concerns.Collects registration and membership fees. Notifies members of issues regarding accounts.Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on the facility or services.Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the employees’ knowledge, forwards to appropriate staff.Provides tours and uses knowledge of the facility to recommend best membership options.Assists with promotions and marketing materials for programs and revenue generating marketing.Monitors facility and surrounding area to ensure safe and proper conduct reporting safety concerns or hazards to supervisors immediately.Maintains a neat, clean and debris free working area.Cleans and sanitizes work area and equipment in order to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment for co-workers and patrons. Responsible for maintaining sanitary serving and eating areas by mopping service areas and collecting and emptying trash. Washes dishes, utensils and sanitizes drains. Stocks and inventories merchandise and products, reporting needs and suggestions to Recreation Facility and Fitness Coordinator.Performs all other duties as assigned and required.

Must be professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.Ability to enforce policy rules and regulations and warn users of existing safety hazards.Ability to manage conflicts or disputes in a calm and appropriate manner. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed primarily in the recreation center front desk, pool entrance or concession stand environment. Employees are exposed to cleaning products. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, reach, pull, push, and perform similar body movements. Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time, the possession of hand/eye coordination sufficient to operate cash register, and front of house equipment, the ability to talk and hear in person or by telephone, the ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations and to read and follow oral and written instructions. EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK The work schedule is primarily Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, will include weekday evening, and holiday shifts. This part-time position is a non-exempt and eligible for overtime. Any overtime must be authorized by a supervisor prior to working. TRAVEL Travel is primarily local during the business day. Occasional travel may be required to attend off-site training and educational opportunities.
