Job Summary:
The City of Greeley is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Bartender to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, and creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- TIPS trained.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices.
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and mixology techniques.
- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and willingness to adhere to them.
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal.
- Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and learn and experiment with new software and systems.

Essential Functions:
- Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and cocktails.
- Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking their orders and making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Prepares and serves a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards.
- Ensures accurate and efficient handling of cash transactions, including handling payments, giving change, and processing credit card payments.
- Maintains a clean and organized bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies, cleaning glasses and utensils, and arranging bottles and ingredients.
- Engages with customers, create a welcoming and lively atmosphere, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Assesses customer preferences and tailor drink recommendations based on their taste and preferences.
- Adheres to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the bar area is clean and compliant with all regulations.
- Monitors and manages inventory levels, including tracking and reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the management.
- Collaborates with the concessions staff to ensure efficient and timely service, especially during peak hours and special events.
- Stays updated with new beverage trends, techniques, and industry developments to provide innovative and exciting drink options to customers.
- Closes and cleans all work areas.
- Assists Ice Haus staff during event set-up/tear-down, general activity/event operation and management as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No Supervisory responsibilities.

- Frequent and heavy contact with the public and City employees in person and by telephone.
- Frequent interruptions.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Work is performed in an open environment with heavy noise levels, at times.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Strength and stamina enough to walk, stand, stretch, bend, lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Long periods of standing and walking.
- Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.
Travel
- May travel up to 10% of the time.
