Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements
- Zero to One (0-1) year of officiating and/or playing experience.
- Zero to One (0-1) year of customer service experience.
Preferred
- Two (2) years of officiating and/or playing experience.
- Two (2) years of customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
- Knowledge of how the game is played.
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal.
- Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and learn and experiment with new software and systems.

Essential Functions:
- Applies the proper principles and techniques used to officiate recreational sporting events.
- Assists in preparing the gym/field for play by setting up any necessary equipment and inspect the site to ensure participant safety.
- Works effectively and productively in a fast-paced environment.
- Manages participants, team managers and/or coaches under difficult game situations.
- Acts quickly, calmly, and appropriately in emergency situations.
- Attends staff meetings and trainings.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No Supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Work Environment
- Frequent interruptions and heavy public contact.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors and in adverse weather or extremely hot conditions, where one may be exposed to loud noises, dust, fumes, and chemicals.
- Workdays may extend from early morning to late evening, as well as weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Sits, stands, and/or walks for extended periods of time.
- Vision to perform physical activities, read computer keyboards, reference books and other written documents.
- Strength and stamina enough to walk, stand, stretch, bend, lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
