A summer job that could lead to a future career! The Department of Public Works is now hiring 2025 Seasonal Maintenance employees to perform labor and maintenance work as assigned for its various divisions. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for that summer job to gain experience! Many of our Seasonal Maintenance employees have gone on to be hired for our regular, full-time positions!
Employment may occur anytime after May 15.

Examples of Duties
Operations Division / Sanitation Section
- Hours : Monday - Friday; 6 : 00 a.m. to 2 : 00 p.m. (40 hrs / week).
- Performs work related to brush collection.
- Garbage pick-up 1-day / week
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Continuous lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Based out of West Side Municipal Garage : 519 S. Oneida Street
Operations Division / Signs and Marking
Minimum Qualifications Required
A combination of equivalent experience and / or education may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
May be required to demonstrate minimum competency by successfully passing approved tests.
