What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pools Facility Attendant position at City of Green Bay?
Responsible for transactions; maintaining and cleaning concession areas, lobby, dressing areas, shower rooms, storerooms, pool deck, counter areas, and lavatories; and supervising top of each flume slide.
- Provides customer service.
- Receives concession product deliveries, stocks sales areas with supplies, and monitors inventory.
- Prepares items for sale and completes accurate sales transactions. Completes necessary forms.
- Supervises and disciplines participants; ensures safety of patrons; enforces swimming regulations and policies with patrons.
- Performs cleaning and light maintenance duties in lobby and all dressing areas, concession areas, shower rooms, storerooms, lavatories, deck, and turf.
- Assists in emergency situations. Provides proper first aid for minor accidents. Adheres to bloodborne pathogens procedures when administering First Aid and wears the proper personal protective equipment. Documents and reports all incidents in accordance with City and/or department procedures.
- Supervises top of flume slide as requested (must be at least 16 years of age and meet qualifications).
- Follows all policies, procedures, and the philosophy that is set forth by the City of Green Bay Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 14 years of age, age 16 desirable.
- Experience working with the public and customer service experience and/or training desirable.
- Experience or training in food service; experience in concession sales desirable.
A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
- Working knowledge of recreation facilities. Knowledge and skill in proper customer service techniques.
- Skill and ability in cash handling.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to read and perform basic calculations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the following activities:
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, squatting, crouching, and kneeling.
- Occasional sitting, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions.
