Do you take initiative and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? The Green Bay Water Utility is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Employee to perform cleaning, lawn mowing, painting, and ground maintenance for Water Utility facilities and other designated areas.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Operates and drives light trucks, passenger vehicles, and equipment to haul materials, supplies, etc.Performs routine cleaning and maintenance work on Water Utility buildings, vehicles, and equipment.Performs turf maintenance work including pesticide application, grading, seeding, mowing, sodding, watering, trimming or related activities at Filter Plant.Flushes fire hydrants.Assists distribution crews with miscellaneous gate box and valve box repairs using the vacuum excavator. Help locate gate boxes and valve boxes for the leak detection program. Assists the distribution maintenance assistant with the valve turning program. Assists the distribution lead locator with large project tickets. Paints miscellaneous Utility office facilities, pump station facilities or distribution hydrants.Picks up garbage, trash, and litter from all Water Utility facility areas.Performs other duties as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other employees. Ability to work the required hours of the position.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the following activities: Lift and carry up to 35 pounds.Frequent bending, pulling, reaching, standing, stooping, and walking.Ability to focus for long period of time on projects.Ability to work in inclement conditions.The above is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements.
