IN-SEASON:- Provide onsite coordination and management of the Greenfield Farmers Market.
- Recruit and retain vendors to support variety and appropriate saturation of products within market.
- Maintain vendor communications, handle complaints and disputes and establish strong vendor contacts.
- Participate as a key member of the Farmers Market Committee.
- Perform vendor site visits to ensure compliance with market regulations and promote good will.
- Assist with marketing and promotion strategies and execution.
- Coordinate recruitment and scheduling of musicians, non-profits and Makers Market.
- Assist with special events, activities and other related work throughout the season as assigned.
OFF-SEASON:
- Perform duties as assigned to assist with recruitment, advertising, strategy building, community relationship development and preparations for future seasons.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a paid, part-time, year-round position averaging 20-25 hours per week during the Market season (May-October), with fewer hours necessary at other times of the year. Attendance at market on Sundays is required. Other work hours are flexible though presence in the Parks and Recreation Department is necessary for routine communications, special events and/or projects.
Required Education/Training and Experience
No formal education requirement necessary. The Market Coordinator should have two or more years of entrepreneurial experience, be passionate about food, local farming and agriculture, and be knowledgeable about the Greenfield community. Experience with electronic media and marketing is a plus.

Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Possession and maintenance of a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
