The Full Salary Range for this position is $52,021.00 - $93,091.00 Annually. The Expected Hiring Range is $52,021 - $68,449 Annually depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefits package. Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
The Plumbing Crew Coordinator's primary responsibility is to assist the Plumbing Trades supervisor by coordinating the construction and maintenance activities for the plumbing/mechanical section within the Facilities Division. This position reports to the Plumbing Mechanical Trades Supervisor and will assume partial duties of the Plumbing Mechanical Trades Supervisor in their absence. The plumbing Crew Coordinator is accountable for the planning, estimating, organizing and reporting of multiple projects assigned to the plumbing/mechanical work units, crews, and teams. The Plumbing Crew Coordinator will oversee and assist with plumbing related installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work to include sewage systems, facility roll up door & gate systems, Fire Sprinkler systems, and automated book drop systems in all city Library facilities. This position will also be expected to assist HVAC staff with basic repairs and preventative maintenance protocol and procedures. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to: using the EAM work order system to assure quality, efficiency, and timely completion; monitoring of short term and long term projects; coordination with other city forces, outside contractors, utilities, and other agencies; assuring safe work practices are followed; intermediate and final inspections of work, preparing cost estimates and tracking of actual costs; evaluation of work methods, materials; and preparing work management records. The employee in this position will evaluate and respond to customer concerns in a timely manner. The employee must have and maintain required certifications and have knowledge of practices and procedures used for the construction and maintenance plumbing systems, fire sprinkler systems, sewage system, belt and chain driven equipment, motors, pumps, automated book drop software and gates, work hazards, and safety procedures. Knowledge of the latest codes and procedures related to the plumbing field and compliance with Occupational Safety Health Administration safety policies and procedures is essential. This person must be able to oversee and communicate effectively with teams, supervisors, and customers. A SLGT-P (State & Local Government Technician - Plumbing) license is required for this position or must be obtained within 18 months of employment in order to remain in the position. The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED with 4 years minimum 'hands-on' experience coordinating and assisting with commercial plumbing/mechanical related construction and maintenance activities to include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work of plumbing, sewage systems, facility roll-up door & gate systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, and automated book drop systems
- Associates Degree with 2 years minimum 'hands-on' experience coordinating and assisting with commercial plumbing/mechanical related construction and maintenance activities to include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work of plumbing, sewage systems, facility roll-up door & gate systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, and automated book drop systems
- Valid Drivers License
- SLGT-P (State & Local Government Technician - Plumbing) license, or be able to obtain within 18 months
- Prior supervisory experience
- Prior experience using MS Office products
- FSM (Fire Sprinkler Maintenance) Technician
- CFC refrigerant license
- Experience using a EAM work order system, or similar system
- Associate's Degree in Architecture & Construction Technology, with a focus in Plumbing
- Technical Plumbing Diploma or Apprenticeship
