- Hourly Employment: Roster positions are paid hourly and do not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, life insurance, paid leave, or paid holidays.
- Limited Hours: Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period.
- Pension System: Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system.

About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Administrative Support team member to join our Youth and Teen Experience section. In this role, you'll help keep programs running smoothly and support exciting youth and teen initiatives across Greensboro.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to general inquiries via email, phone, or in person
Provide exceptional customer service to both patrons and partners
Assist with registration, communication with participants, and program/event marketing
Support youth initiatives like Greensboro Youth Council, Youth Leadership Greensboro, and teen events
Engage with participants and help manage volunteers
Assist with data collection and program evaluations
Help track financials, including sponsorships and grants
Maintain accurate and current website and social media information
Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Physical Requirements
This role may involve walking, standing, sitting for extended periods, and participating in active recreation (e.g., jogging, jumping). Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and operate necessary equipment and vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with diverse groups
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, recreation software)
Previous experience with community or recreation programming
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with youth, teens, and volunteers
Background in marketing and social media management
Familiarity with program evaluation methods
