Join Our Executive Team: Assistant to the City ManagerThe City of Greensboro is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Executive Team as the Assistant to the City Manager. This key position reports to the City's Chief of Staff and provides an exciting opportunity to play a central role in managing the operations of the City Manager’s Office, addressing political, confidential, and sensitive issues, and contributing to impactful citywide initiatives.Salary Information: Full Salary Range: $65,532 - $117,267. Working with us means being at the heart of meaningful change and helping shape the future of our community.About the Role: As the Assistant to the City Manager, you will: Lead administrative operations within the City Manager’s Office, including supervising support staff.Manage and delegate tasks related to executive schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements.Serve as a liaison to the City Attorney’s Office to develop, publish, and circulate the city legislative agenda.Coordinate event logistics and preparation for City Manager speaking engagements, including keynotes, media interviews, and podcasts.Oversee hiring procedures for the Executive Department, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and offboarding.Maintain and organize schedules for the City Manager, Deputy City Manager, and Chief of Staff.Process contracts, research data for PIRT requests, reconcile travel reports and manage divisional purchase orders and invoices.Utilize various computer applications to ensure administrative efficiency and accuracy.Work in a fast-paced environment requiring discretion, independent judgment, and decision-making.Sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to maintain confidentiality.
