The Athletics Administrative Assistant position supports the Athletics Superintendent and contributes to the smooth functioning of the athletics section in the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department. This role focuses on providing internal and external customer support, managing administrative tasks, and enhancing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars and emails, and coordinate agendas.
- Handle document management, including preparing reports, maintaining files (electronic and physical), and planning materials.
- Support revenue collection, sponsorship solicitation, and execution of registration and front desk duties.
- Learn and operate software supporting programs and organizational operations.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and provide leadership to the section.
This position is Non-Exempt under FLSA policy.
- High School Diploma/GED1 years of administrative assistant
- experience Customer Service
- experience Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience operating standard office equipment (multi-line phone, copier, fax machine)
- Experience working in the public sector
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Office Administration or related field sports
- knowledgeability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of City of Greensboro Parks and Recreation principles
