About the Role:
As a Crew Member (Vactor Helper), you will:
- Assist in operating a sewer cleaning truck for preventative and emergency maintenance.
- Serve as backup operator when needed.
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, bending, and stooping.
- Help complete daily work logs, sanitary sewer overflow reports, and other paperwork.
- Work on-call rotation and in inclement weather conditions as needed.

- Ability to perform physical tasks in a demanding outdoor environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on operator responsibilities when required.
- Must obtain a NC Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker Endorsement within 6 months of hire.

The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA. Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- "OR" an equivalency of 3 years education "and" 3 years of "related" work experience.
- Valid Class B Driver's License w/ tanker endorsement ("OR " the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date to maintain position)
- Experience working in an outdoor environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- NC AWWA Grade 1 or Higher Collections Certification
- Experience Operating a Sewer Combo Cleaning Truck
