The Full Salary Range is $39,319.00 - $70,361.00. The expected hiring range is $39,319.00 – $51,736.00 depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefits package. About Engineering and Inspections:
Facilities, a division of the Engineering and Inspections Department, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all City-owned buildings by providing mechanical, structural, and custodial services.
This division also oversees construction services for the renovation and new construction of city facilities, such as libraries, and fire and police stations, and manages a facility energy program.
Buildings maintained by the Facilities Division include:Greensboro Cultural Center, Greensboro Historical Museum, J. Douglas Galyon Depot, J. Edward Kitchen Operation Center, Public Libraries, Melvin Municipal Office Building, Parks and Recreation facilities, police and fire substations, Police Headquarters, Public Safety Center, Service Center.
- High School Diploma/GED with 1 to 3 years of related plumbing experience (installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, & repairing plumbing and sewage systems)
- Or No High School Diploma/GED with 5 to 7 years related plumbing experience (installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, & repairing plumbing and sewage systems)
- Valid Driver's License
- Plumbing Contractor's License
- Knowledge of computer software, iPads and/or general office equipment
- Experience in other maintenance trades and fields (must indicate on application)
- Backflow experience and/or Backflow Certified
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and/or repairing roll up doors
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, & repairing Fire Sprinkler systems
