About the Role
As an Office Assistant at the Parks & Recreation Administration office, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding Internal and External customer service at the front desk. Your duties will include answering phone calls, assisting walk-in visitors, supporting administrative tasks, processing payments and registrations, and handling inquiries with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer and screen phone calls; transfer calls and voice mails.
  • Provide departmental and city information upon request.
  • Greet and direct walk-in visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks like filing, data entry, copying, and sorting/delivery.
  • Manage facility reservations and process program registrations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide support with recreation management software.
  • Assist with calendar schedules, maintaining office supplies, and more.

This position is Non-exempt under the FLSA guidelines.

What You Bring
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of clerical or administrative experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Preferred: Experience in the public sector is a plus.
