Job Summary
Greenville Recreation and Parks Department is currently recruiting Park Attendants at Wildwood Park to collect fees, provide public information, patrol the park to enforce rules and regulations, implement outdoor recreation and environmental education programs, and complete outdoor work around park grounds.
Park Attendants will perform maintenance tasks at park facilities and on trails including litter and trash pickup, cleaning restrooms and shelters, and maintaining an organized office space inside the Wildwood Park Welcome Center.
Opportunities to lead, develop, and assist with programs at Wildwood Park are possible. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience leading outdoor recreation and environmental education programs.
Minimum Age : 17 years old (at the time of application)
Hours : Wildwood Park is currently open every day from sunrise to sunset.
- Weekend shifts vary in length depending on the season, and weekday shifts in the summer are during evening hours.
- Attendants work a schedule of 5-40 hours a week, including weekends and some holidays

Are you 17 years old? (must be at the time of application)
Do you have a valid driver's license issued by NC or another state? (Note : a valid driver's license is a current driver's license that is not revoked, suspended, or subject to limited restoration or conditional operation privileges.)
Are you First Aid certified? (Required within 60 days of hire)
Are you certified to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)? (Preferred but not required)
Are you CPR certified? (Required within 60 days of hire)
Do you have any experience planning or leading public recreation or nature based activities?
This position requires working in all kinds of weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.). Are you able to meet this requirement?
Are you comfortable boarding guests on pedal boats and kayaks, and working on our floating docks / piers by the water?
This position requires emptying garbage cans and cleaning bathrooms daily. Are you able to meet this requirement?
Are you available to work a varying schedule to include weekends and some holidays during the year?
