What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Baseball Scorekeeper position at City of Greenville, NC?
The Greenville Recreation and Parks Department is currently looking for a scorekeeper for youth baseball games ages 5-8. Duties include but are not limited to scorekeeping, setting up for practices and games, and ensuring proper care of the program and/or facility.
Minimum Age: 16 years old, at the time of application
Game Time (hours vary):
- 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
- 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday's
- Seasonal Position from late April through mid-July
Applicants must possess a good knowledge of baseball rules and have the ability and patience to work with youth. Umpiring and scorekeeping experience is preferred. Knowledge of First Aid and safety procedures is preferred. Mandatory staff trainings are required.
Applicants are required to submit a complete work history, complete educational history (to include high school information), and at least 3 references.
