Cyber Security Compliance Specialist
Support GEUS’ compliance with mandatory North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) reliability standards Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Protocols and other regulatory entities by assisting with developing, implementing, monitoring, and managing cyber security processes, policies, and procedures owned by the compliance program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist GEUS CCRO with coordination of internal activities associated with development policies and procedures to address compliance with NERC CIP reliability standards, ERCOT Protocols, and other cyber security related regulations.
- Assist GEUS CCRO with coordination of internal activities associated with the implementation of processes and policies for compliance with Cyber Security related regulations with SME’s and other personnel as required.
- Develop a technical understanding of network infrastructure, security appliances, and security control configurations.
- Support the execution of operational task specific to cyber security regulations including system administration, security patch management, backup and recovery, cyber security incident response etc.
- Track implementation activities to ensure timely compliance and periodically report status to the CCRO.
- Assist with development and maintenance of compliance records.
- Assist with internal assessments, reviews, spot checks, and audits to ensure compliance with mandatory reliability standards.
- Participate in workshops, working groups and related training to remain up-to-date with cyber security compliance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Up to 2 years cyber security experience, NERC CIP and/or NIST 800 experience preferred.
- Experience in the electric utility industry including transmission, distribution and generation is preferred.
- Project management, records management and multi-tasking ability.
- Decision making ability.
- High level of communication skills.
- Must pass a seven-year Personal Risk Assessment (PRA)/Background Check prior to employment.
Pay Rate: DOQ plus benefits
