SUPERVISOR: Parks Supervisor
SALARY: Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker I $17.00 per hour
Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker II $18.00 per hour
This is a Non-exempt, Full-Time/Temporary position, partially benefited position.
BENEFITS: Partially benefited employees earn 1 sick leave hour for every 30 hours worked. Up to 48 hours can be rolled over per year.
SCHEDULE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Typical schedule for this position is 6:30am - 2:30 pm. This position may involve working a variety of schedules, including evenings. Remote and/or hybrid schedules are not available.
RELOCATION: This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Relocation assistance is not provided.
REQUIREMENTS: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities to learn to operate effectively and safely small, motorized equipment is qualifying. Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker I: Must be at least sixteen years of age. Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker II: Must be at least eighteen years of age AND must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

As a municipal organization, Greenwood Village is a provider of emergency services. Some emergency situations, including weather-related emergencies, may necessitate Greenwood Village employees to assist in areas of work that may not be directly related to the employee’s specific job function, but which will be within the physical capabilities, training, and skills of the employee.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker I Must be at least sixteen years of age. Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker II Must be at least eighteen years of age.
Essential Functions
Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker II: Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker I: Small riding mower, 21-inch mower, 26-inch mower, UTV’s, line trimmer, blower, aerator, sod cutter, walk behind fertilizer spreader and hand tools.
Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker II: Small riding mower, 21-inch mower, 26-inch mower, UTV’s, tractors, light duty trucks, line trimmer, blower, aerator, sod cutter, walk behind fertilizer spreader and hand tools.
Contact With Others
Requires little or no contact, except with immediate associates and/or supervisor and occasional contact with citizens.
Supervisory Requirements

Field Work
Frequently exposed to safety hazards from equipment operated, manual labor, and work in high traffic areas.

Essential Functions
- Turf Mowing
- Performs daily mowing of bluegrass, working in teams, using small riding and hand-operated power mowing equipment.
- Trail and Open Space Mowing
- Performs mowing of tall coarse grasses along paths, trails and on open space sites, working in teams, using hand-operated power mowing equipment.
- Irrigation System Repairs
- Assists in the repair of irrigation systems at all irrigated sites working with and sometimes under the supervision of Parks Maintenance Irrigation personnel using irrigation hand tools.
- Tree and Planting Bed Maintenance
- Assists in maintenance of trees and planting beds at all City owned sites.
- Works with and sometimes under the supervision of Parks Supervisors or Other full-time staff using hand and power tools associated with tree and plant care.
- City Paths, Fences, Drainage, and Construction Projects
- Assists in the maintenance of City paths, fences, park amenities and construction projects working with and sometimes under the supervision of Parks Supervisors or other Full-time staff.
- Trash and Recycling
- Performs daily trash route duties to include removing trash and recycling bags from City receptacles, inspecting receptacles, and picking up loose trash.
- Special Event Activities
- Provides staff support for village special events. Duties may include, set up and take down, ticket taking, working various event-related tasks.
- Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker I Must be at least sixteen years of age.
- Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker II Must be at least eighteen years of age. Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
